The FL5 Type R intake system is the evolution of our proven FK8 design, refined to take full advantage of the increased space in the FL5 engine bay. The result is an intake that delivers measurable gains in both performance and response, while maintaining OEM-like reliability and fitment.

Optimized Cold Air Delivery

Positioned directly behind the radiator, the intake system must be sealed to prevent hot engine bay air from being drawn into the turbo. Our carbon fiber airbox ensures the filter is fully isolated, minimizing heat soak and supplying the turbo with a constant feed of cold, dense air.

Smoother, More Efficient Airflow

The restrictive OEM flexible hose creates turbulence and drag. We’ve engineered a seamless airflow path from the filter to the turbo inlet, replacing the OEM design with a smoother, more direct connection. The inlet tube is allowed to move within the airbox to accommodate engine movement, while maintaining an airtight seal against heat.

Proven Gains & Premium Design
